Game Jam Day 6/7 Retrospective - Time is Running Out
Clockwork Dreams » Devlog
Hurry up!
Another day of adding a lot of content to the game was there. It was for us extremely important to get the game done, playable and into a condition of "releasable" by the end of day 6/7. Reason was very simple: Afterwards you got 1 final day to fix all those weird and nasty bugs, polish and tweak things - and in the end and will still feel like there was not enough time.
Ok, but what about the contents of day 6?
- Essentially it was going from the loosely thrown stuff from day 5 to a "release candidate" - close to release condition
- Add and tweak all the puzzles and obstacles for all levels
- Getting the movement, music and feel right
- Have a nice "cinematic" end jump
- Dozens of play tests from A-Z to make sure, that you can play through the game
